Raptors Upset Urban Knights in NBL Clash
The Rae Town Raptors pulled off an impressive 68-58 victory against the reigning champions, Urban Knights, in their mid-week clash on Tuesday. This National Basketball League match took place at the Stadium Courts.
The Raptors executed their game plan effectively, managing to outlast the defending champions. The first half was closely contested, with both teams tied at 16 points each by the end of the first quarter. By halftime, the Knights had a slight edge, leading 35-33.
However, the second half told a different story. The Raptors increased their energy levels, causing problems for the Knights and forcing turnovers. These turnovers were converted into points, with the Raptors winning the third quarter 21-16 and the final quarter 14-7.
Tommy McDonald led all scorers with a remarkable double-double performance, tallying 23 points and 11 assists.
Despite the loss, Omar Barnes managed to score 20 points and grab 8 rebounds, while Alex Levy contributed 11 points in the unexpected defeat for the Knights.
