The Jamaica Basketball Association is set to host a series of seminars across three conferences, aimed at all Physical Education Heads of Department and Coaches.

These seminars will concentrate on the upcoming Mini Basketball 2025 season, providing essential insights and strategies to enhance the development of young athletes in the sport and effectively implement Mini Basketball programs within their institutions.

Barca CBS has signed national player 6Crystal Prim

Barca CBS has signed national player 6Crystal Primm, a 27-year-old USA-Jamaican guard standing at 180cm, for the upcoming season. Primm is a well-known player in the Spanish LF Challenge, having most recently played for Adareva. Last season, she averaged 3.9 points per game and 3.0 rebounds per game in 12 LF Challenge games. Prior to Adareva, Primm played for Alter Enersun Al-Qazeres Extremadura for two seasons (2021-2023).

She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2020, and this will be her fifth season in professional basketball.

Crystal traverses around 19 minutes, dropping about 7 points with 4 boards per game.

The National Stadium courts were filled with excit

The National Stadium courts were filled with excitement this past Saturday as the inaugural Marland Nattie Legends 3x3 Basketball Tournament was in full swing.

A total of 40 teams took part in the competition, with 13 teams competing in the U19 category, 9 teams in the Open Female category, and 18 teams in the Open Male category.

The tournament was held in honor of the late Marland Nattie, a former national player, coach, and administrator who played a crucial role in the formation of the Jamaica Basketball Association.

Team Jamaica 🇯🇲 🏀 is set to compete agai

Team Jamaica 🇯🇲 🏀 is set to compete against Calabasas (USA) in the quarterfinals of the FIBA 3x3 San Juan International Quest in Puerto Rico this afternoon.

Yesterday, Jamaica achieved a 2-0 record, defeating Antofagasta (Chile) with a score of 18-15 and surpassing Montreux (Switzerland) with a score of 21-15.

The San Juan International Quest runs between September 28-29 at The Mall Of San Juan. It is a qualifier for the FIBA3x3 WT Manama Masters in the Kingdom of Bahrain on November 1-2. The winner will earn US$10k, 2nd place US$6k, 3rd place US$3k, and 4th place US$1k in prize money.

We are profoundly sadden by the sudden passing of Elfraito Remekie, Jamaica Basketball Association's Technical Director. He was a founding member of the Jamaica Basketball governance and a mainstay on the basketball court for over 30 years. Not only was he a fantatsic coach who developed and mentored a generation of players and coaches looking to realize their dreams, but he was a wonderful friend and colleague to so many. The entire basketball community will miss Rem or Alf, as he was affectionally called, and we send our heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends around the basketball world. 🏀 🇯🇲
